SACHTLEBEN – A legend revived!

On the 1st of February 2026, the SACHTLEBEN name came alive again, when Venator Germany GmbH sold its Barium Sulphate and Zinc-Sulfide based Functional Additives & nano-fine Titanium Dioxide business to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG).

ICIG, a privately owned global industrial group, focusing on small to medium sized chemical and pharmaceutical businesses, acquired the business with a clear understanding that the business is viable long term. The goal is therefore to expand and solidify SACHTLEBEN’s long-standing leading position in the functional additives and nano-fine TiO2 markets.

The revived SACHTLEBEN name will serve the company well, as it is well established as a traditional name for quality in its core markets and through the brand name of most of its products.
