# Sachtleben Chemie International GmbH

> Sachtleben is a specialty chemicals company based in Duisburg, Germany. We develop and produce functional additives, specialty pigments and nano-fine titanium dioxide for industrial applications worldwide. Since February 2026, Sachtleben is part of the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG).

The company was originally founded in 1892 by Dr. Rudolf Sachtleben. In 2026, ICIG acquired the barium sulfate, zinc sulfide and nano-TiO2 business from Venator Germany GmbH, reviving the Sachtleben brand.

Products: Barium sulfate (Blanc Fixe, Sachtoperse), zinc sulfide (Sachtolith), lithopone, nano-fine titanium dioxide (Hombitec, Hombikat).

Applications: Coatings, plastics, pharmaceuticals, personal care and cosmetics, fibers, films, batteries, active materials.
